Secretary/Office Manager for SBC Group
The SBC Group is looking to bring into its team a highly skilled and personable person to fill the part-time role of Secretary/Office Manager.
The post is highly suited to a person looking who has good communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and is looking for a fresh challenge within a highly professional business environment.

JOB TITLE: Secretary & Office Manager – SBC Group
Start date: Immediate
WORKING HOURS: Part-time; 16 hours per week:
10:30am to 2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
With 30 mins lunch break
Three month probationary period.
LOCATION: Edgware HA8
SALARY: £28k pro rata (PAYE)
1 MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Secretary will assist the CEO and the COO of SBC Group in their day to day work in running the operations of SBC Group on a daily basis.
2 POSITION IN ORGANISATION
Line managed by the Chief Executive of SBC with close liaison with the COO to ensure all duties and responsibilities are carried out accordingly.
3 SCOPE OF JOB
The post holder will provide administrative, secretarial and logistical support to the SBC Group senior team, contributing to effective project management.
There is significant scope for future development within this role including additional hours of work and a higher scale of remuneration. These would be dependent on the key targets and goal being not only achieved but also with a high degree of competence,
4 MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing secretarial support for the CEO & COO.
- Provide ongoing administrative support including diary and travel logistics support to the senior SBC Group team when required.
- Manage routine correspondence and preparation of information/support materials for the senior SBC team.
- Set up and manage routine and one-off meetings for the senior SBC Group team. This may include taking care of invitations and replies, venue bookings, refreshments, distribution of resources and act as a minute taker when appropriate.
- Responsible for the SBC Group office environment including taking care of its general upkeep, repairs and maintenance.
- Assist with the organisation and delivery of events and activities for SBC Group.
- Manage bookings for events and activities for and on behalf of SBC Group.
- Ensuring the IT systems within the SBC Group are running well and organising said support when required.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post.

The SBC Group offices in Edgware HA8.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A High level of proficiency in using a wide range of computer programmes from the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc) to databases. Especially Google Docs; Sheets and Forms and Xero.
- Experience of working with diverse and complex teams.
- Experience of being a proactive team member, contributing to the success of wider team and organisational goals.
- Experience in Office and event management.
2 SKILLS
- Friendly phone and interpersonal communication skills
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to learn new simply computer programmes and be comfortable with general computer needs
